The 3 Permanent Committees

Three Permanent Committees have been created within EASE in order to encompass the specialist interests of the three identified sub-sectors:

not-for-profit sport


Chairman: WOS (the Netherlands)

professional sport


Chairman: Arbetsgivaralliansen (Sweden)

active leisure


Chairman: SkillsActive (UK)



EASE BYE-LAWS - Article 19: PERMANENT COMMITTEES

"Each sub-sector, as defined in the Preamble, shall be represented by a Permanent Committee. Participation to a Permanent Committee shall be open to EASE Full Members which shall have to join at least one Permanent Committee. EASE Associate Members shall also join at least one Permanent Committee as observers.
Each Permanent Committee shall elect yearly a Chairman who will sit on the Board of EASE. The activities of EASE shall be assigned to each Permanent Committee by the Board."

EASE was involved in the project called "European Qualifications Framework for Outdoor Animators" - EQFOA project (Oct. 06 - Sept. 08) led by SkillsActive (UK Full Member of EASE). EASE is now involved in its follow-up named CLO2 project: “Professionalising training and mobility for Outdoor animators in Europe bridging the gap between sector Competences and Learning Outcomes” (1st Oct. 08 - 30th Sept. 10). The CLO2 project's final conference will be organised in Leuven (Belgium) on 16th and 17th September 2010.

European social dialogue in professional football

The European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for professional football – launched on 1st July 08 – brings together the International Federation of Professional Footballers' Associations-Division Europe (FIFPro) and the Association of European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL). The employers' side is complemented by the European Club Association (ECA). Given the specificity of sport governance, the social partners have invited UEFA to chair their dialogue.
