EU Sport Forum, November 2008
As foreseen in the White Paper on Sport, the EU Sport Forum is a key annual event in the framework of the structured dialogue on sport at EU level. This year's event was organised in several thematic sessions linked to the implementation of the White Paper on Sport, of which two sessions took the form of panel debates. The choice of the topics – the financing of sport, the specificity of sport, social dialogue in sport and education & training – corresponded with the political agenda as well as preferences expressed by European sport stakeholders within the EU structured dialogue on sport. Representatives from a variety of sport and sport-related organisations took part to this event. Marcel Martin, EASE President, was guest speaker at the EU Sport Forum.
